Let’s Celebrate the Goodness

celebrate-the-goodness

Thanksgiving is a fairly big holiday in the U.S. and Canada, however, this year things are a bit different. This certainly doesn’t mean that we can’t, or shouldn’t celebrate. Au contraire, I think it’s more important than ever to celebrate the goodness. Why?

“It’s easy to miss the good, because we simply get used to it.

You see, research has found that positive emotions tend to wear off quickly. Because of our adaptive nature, we easily take things—including people and circumstances—for granted. This is not something I want to do, especially this year! So as the saying goes, I’ve created a list, and checked it twice (it’s not all encompassing, but the start is nice.)

My 2020 Gratitude List

In no particular order, I am grateful for and celebrate the goodness of:

  • The ability to continuously learn and grow as a Certified Business Coach.
  • I am so thankful for my clients—they rock! They teach me new things every day.
  • Being a part of the world-renowned Trusted Advisors Network LLC in Pennsylvania continues to be an incredible experience—working with brilliant coaches worldwide— helping each other make a difference.
  • My family, who is so very supportive of all I venture to do. How does it get better than that?! They are incredible business advisors.
  • A healthy mind, body, and spirit to live life to its fullest.
  • Local community and businesses who continue to do the right thing and pull together with teamwork, supporting each other and their businesses amidst Covid-19.
  • Joy of being a part of the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of SE Florida and helping girls grow as leaders with courage, confidence, and character.
  • My support team, including Kris DeVries, who are so passionate, supportive, and generous with their genuine care.
  • The ability to give back to the community through service is one of the most important things for which I am grateful. Without community, there is no real sense of belonging. Working within the community to help businesses succeed is just the best.

Gratitude flows from living a life of purpose. I am so honored and humbled to be able to help others, so they can make a difference.
